Jambience: Live at the
Arts Factory
Jambience: Live at the Arts Factory
was born almost by itself. The band, which was to become Jambience,
formed when Andy Larmouth, Enrick Adam and Phil Jackson all happened to
cross paths in Byron Bay NSW, Australia. As all three shared an interest
in guitar, percussion, didgeridoo, they entered a talent contest, held
weekly at Byron Bay’s Famous Arts Factory Lodge, won, and were asked to
headline the following weekend.
Word of the trio and their unique style
of acoustic music spread, and their Saturday night gigs at the Art Factory
became somewhat of a sensation. At the audiences request, one of
these sessions was recorded, and Jambience: Live at the Arts Factory sprung
to life, selling in excess of 200 copies in its first week of existence.

Jambience:
Live
This CD is Jambience’s second effort.
Following the accidental success of their fist effort, it was decided that
a CD of entirely original Jambience material was in order, as the first
disc is mostly covers. Work on the recording began on the evening
of the band’s UK reunion gig, virtually one year to the day of the release
of their first CD, and continued over the band’s next eight gigs.
It contains reworked versions of Trinity and Didjam, as well as five new
pieces of Jambient music.
A notable addition to the band’s line
up on this CD is Chris Puleston. Chris is a long time friend of Andy’s,
and made his debut with the band on their UK reunion gig. Following
his outstanding performance that evening, Chris became part of the band
playing drum kit, congas, tablas and bongos to name but a few. Further ambience is also added to the
CD by Brighton local Rohan Kriwaczeck. Phil met Rohan whilst busking
in Brighton, and although not offically a member of the band, Rohan has
been a full-time guest at virtually all of their performances. On
this disk, he is featured playing violin, flute, and wooden clarinet.
